PROJECT EXAMPLES & EXPERT EXPERIENCES
Hydraulic Structures division established in 1994. It is responsible for carrying out different engineering services in the fields of dam, hydro-power plants, water transmission lines, irrigation and drainage networks and environmental studies.

 

Scope of Works

Dam and Hydro-Power plant  

-         Analysis and design of all dam types.

-         Analysis and design of appurtenant structures of dams.

-         Analysis and design of hydro-power plants.

-         Analysis and design of general and special structures.

-         Analysis and design of water transmission systems.

-         Analysis and design of pumpage systems.

-         Design of all types of excavations.

-         Borrow material studies, including: site investigations, providing the list of necessary in-situ and laboratory tests and supervision on their performance.

-         Design of roads, tunnels, shafts and other underground structures.

-         Design of cut-off wall of dams and providing the technical specification for consolidation grouting and sealing.

-         Geomechanical investigation of the bedrock of dams and appurtenant structures and providing geological engineering models.

-         Analysis of rock mechanics laboratory test results for estimating the foundation geomechanical parameters.

-         Providing the technical specification for geotechnical studies and supervision on exploratory drillings.

-         Providing the technical specification for test grouting contracts and supervision on its performance.

-         Performing joint studies for the primary estimation of rockmass discontinuity parameters.

-         Hydrogeological investigations and the karst related studies.

-         Geological engineering studies of dams, reservoirs and powerplant sites.

-         Earthquake engineering, seismotectonic and seismicity studies of all types of projects.

-         Providing necessary instructions for making hydraulic models and supervision on the performance of hydraulic tests.

 

Water resources

 

-         Meteorological studies of hydro-powerplants, agricultural, water supply and sewage, rural water supply and other hydro-projects.

-         Hydrological studies of dams, irrigation and drainage networks and water supply and sewage projects.

-         Water resources management studies of dams, reservoirs, hydro-powerplants and other projects.
