The steam unit of Qeshm combined cycle power plant was synchronized with the national grid at 11:42 on 28 September 2025 and remained online for one hour. It was then disconnected from the national grid at 12:45 in coordination with the national dispatching center.

The power plant consists of two gas units (MAP2A) with a capacity of 170 MW under ISO conditions, two heat recovery system generators, and one steam turbine with a nominal capacity of 160 MW featuring a once-through cooling system.
